Household Air Pollution

The information obtained through this planned formative study was to identify the key aspects along with the culturally appropriate and feasible ways of implementing the intervention and inform the intervention design. This research identifies the family’s attitudes toward the proposed improved cook stove and perceived advantages and disadvantages of the improved cook stove. This study also generates contextual information on the role of individuals within the family and the community that are crucial in order to implement the intervention efficiently. The findings from this research also helped to finalize the questionnaires to be used in the intervention trial. Prior to the final analysis, a preliminary analysis of the formative research data provide information to help finalize the pilot intervention design that conducted to get feedback on all aspects of the main trail.
