Dr. Das receives the ‘Award for Excellence in Healthcare (Public Health)’ – 2022
The ‘Award for Excellence in Healthcare (Public Health)’ – 2022 has been conferred upon Dr. Prabir Kumar Das, Country Coordinator, Lata Medical Research Foundation and former Deputy Director of Health Services, Nagpur this year by the Venus International Foundation during the 5th Annual Healthcare Summit and Venus International Healthcare Award Ceremony held at Hotel Green Park, Chennai recently at the hands of Guest of Honour Dr. Giuseppe Di Gioia, Universita Campus BIO-medico, ROME, Italy. Dr. Das has also been invited thereS to deliver his keynote address in the summit on the topic “Public Health: My Domain”.
Dr. Prabir Kumar Das is a well-known figure in the field of Public Health and is the immediate past National President of Indian Public Health Association. He is contributing a lot in the field of Public Health for last four decade in Maharashtra. His works in the field of Public Health has been well recognized by many organizations and he has many prestigious awards and fellowship in his credit. His main areas of focus remain Health Education in general and Behavioural Change Communication in particular. Dr. Das is a versatile personality with post-graduate qualifications in five subjects, a very good trainer, a successful administrator, a poet and an author. He penned seven books in Hindi including four anthologies of Hindi poems in addition to a book on ‘Endemic Fluorosis’, many chapters in training modules for doctors and paramedics, 66 health related articles published in different periodicals. More than twenty of his research papers have been published, mostly in the international journal, so far.
