Dr. Prabir Kumar Das is presently associated with Lata Medical Research Foundation, Nagpur and engaged in the field of maternal and newborn health research. More than twenty of his research papers either published in national and international health journals or presented in different conferences.

Qualification: MBBS; DTCD; MD; MPS; MA (Public Administration) and MA (Philosophy)

Penned: 65 health related articles, book on Endemic Fluorosis, number of literary articles and three books of Hindi Poem, two biopics, one book about Marathi surnames.

Awards and Fellowships: 2 Gold Medal, 1 Silver Medal, 2 Cash Award for Family Planning Programme, One Silver Medal for Blindness Control Programme from Government of Maharashtra, Young Scientist Award from Nutrion Society of India, Best Citizen of India Award, Vidarbha Bhushan Award. In addition to these World Health Organization Fellowship, Moulana Abul Kalam Azad Fellowship, Fellowship of Indian Public Health Association.
