LMRF wins dual prizes at National Conference
Dr. Archana Patel, Program Director and CFO, LMRF was invited as a speaker at the at the 8th National Infant and Young Child Feeding and Human Milk Banking Conference 2018 of the Indian Academy of Pediatrics (IAP) Karnataka. Her topic for the session was M Health Apps: Use of Mobile App to promote infant feeding practices where she shared the insights from her pioneering research on exploring the application of Mobile apps for promoting infant nutrition, growth and development.
Ms. Amrita Puranik presented a program impact pathway for a mobile App M-SAKHI (Mobile Solutions Aiding Knowledge for Health Improvement) and Dr. Yamini Pusdekar who presented a study entitled, “Effect of early initiation of breastfeeding on neonatal sepsis and neonatal mortality at 28 days: A systematic Review and Meta-analysis” won the first and the second prizes respectively for representing LMRF in the award paper category.
Dr. Samreen Sadaf Khan presented a poster on the stakeholder perspectives regarding the Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative in urban hospitals of Cantral India. Dr. Varsha Dhurde from LMRF also presented on Mobile Apps for nutritional assessment of mothers and infants.
